Soar in a real glider at the National Soaring Museum. Walk under a waterfall in Watkins Glen State Park. Explore Ithaca's Discovery Trail with eight fascinating sites to visit including the Museum of the Earth, Cayuga Nature Center and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, a 220-acre sanctuary featuring more than four miles of trails winding through a variety of habitats for birds and other wildlife.

Seneca Lake Wine Trail, the Ithaca Art Trail, antiques shopping, biking tours, hiking trails, three nearby golf courses and twelve parks within a twenty mile radius. Due to the abundance of natural areas, most remain uncrowded even on the busiest of holiday weekends.
F or the outdoor enthusiast a two-mile hike or drive from the inn takes you to Taughannock Falls, the highest waterfall east of the Rockies. The creek that feeds it, Taughannock Creek, is just across the street from us. There are a series of mini waterfalls along the way with swimming holes that the locals (and our guests) use all summer long. Two more miles east and you are standing on the shores of Cayuga Lake. Stretching 40 miles and 435 feet deep, it is the largest of the Finger Lakes. The many activities on the lake include boating, skiing, fishing, swimming, sailing and jet skiing. Enjoy scenic Cayuga Lake Cruises from April through October.
